While there are still many tweaks I'd like to make to this shader, I'm pleased with how it turned out. The animated rough maps loop four maps over five frames to give a choppy feel to the character (which was considered knowing we're planning on animating on twos). The next step is seeing how it interacts with her being animated and how that might either work or become distracting.

I got some great feedback to consider, and the first point is how her base texture is so busy that it is difficult to understand the changing rough maps. I agree that this quick and temporary job makes her look dirty/unorganized, and I would love to see how a more finalized skin shader looks with this technique. She's also quite shiny, so fixing that is also on the roster.

My next step is rigging this character so we can start animating. I know a class member from another team, Carl, did a beautiful job rigging, so he and I will do a workshop together to give me a chance to learn from him. I'm so excited about this because I definitely became more interested in rigging over the summer, however, I'm a newbie when it comes to it in Maya.

As a team, we reconsidered the shot we plan on finalizing, through the entire pipeline, and are going to meet this upcoming Monday since we have a low showing of folks today.
