This week was super successful in getting everyone on the same page and ready for the next two weeks. Our main goal, with a deadline of Dec. 10th, is to playblast the entire animatic with current shading, basic lighting, rough/blocked animation, and color and coherency. December 10th is vital because we want the four days leading up to the Preview dedicated towards title/end credit editing, post-processing, color grading, and music/sound effects edits. By also taking into account final's week and everyone's personal schedules, this timeline works well to ensure timely success.
I wanted to include the work leading up to the last Pro Pass in this post, including the naturalistic set dressing elements I created. All of the assets have keyed wind animation on the leaves, so they all have 'keep-alive' to add energy to the scene. I would like to update the shading on the tree and bush leaves, HOWEVER that is not included in the goals for the next few weeks as we have put everything else in the pipeline at a stand-still. We will not be working on anything else except for the animatic and ensuring all the shots are playblasted. We divided the shots evenly between all team members and will be working through next week to complete them.
For basic lighting, we decided that since the animatic is split into 4 times of day, a basic lighting set will be created for each time and will be used by everyone - this is to ensure coherency across shots.
