Pre-Production - Progress Check No.1 (FINE 3845)

This is the beginning of my first 'real' story-development process. Taking place over four weeks, Kayla, Piper, Carl, and I will develop and hone in on a story that started as a mere thought on a note card earlier this semester.

For our first meeting, the preliminary steps taken were scheduling meeting times out of class and finding the best way to organize communication between team members. I've found that Discord works extremely well for organizing teams of people for projects dealing with production. The ability to organize different channels (like deadlines versus visual inspiration) greatly assists in organizing a visual project.

From the beats of the story, loglines and synopses were created to further the narrative and delve deeper into what the story is trying to say.

The Sculptor had a more detailed approach required to understand the story, while A Prince for a Prince was less enthused and could be summarized more efficiently.

Overall, I've found to enjoy this process of collaborating over a shared interest and goal, and look forward to whatever next week brings.
