With one week left until the pitches to the faculty and students on Monday, finalizing and preparing the overall presentation is the most important task. What we have left is the animatic, character concepts for Sculpt, environment boards for Princes, and finalizing the overall presentation.
With some group members lagging behind on concepts and tasks they were assigned over the past two weeks, something I learned is that sometimes it's good to intervene. When I find myself in a leadership position, I normally have a hands-off approach just because that's how I like to be led. Having experience in group work, I personally find it easy to self-lead and don't need someone watching over my shoulder. Some students have a more difficult time with that, and I've found this in my group.
Reaching out to members who are having a more difficult time completing their assigned tasks and helping them with their workload is the best way to handle a situation like this. Life happens and you never know when someone could use a hand. That way we are all still in collaboration and assisting each other as team members who watch each other's backs.

Above, I included sketches done for the princess character in our Princes short. I wanted to combine a multitude of cultural styles in her attire so she had a more ambiguous background. This short is not meant to be overly specific to a culture due to the comedy and simplicity of the story.

These horses are concepts for the princes. Light and dark are their themes, so the horses have that in consideration. Body armor/dress is the next step for these.

The throne room and castle are major settings in our short and PureRef was the perfect format for laying out inspiration. The priority at the moment are completing acts two and three of our animatics for pitches on Monday 11/7.
